\"\"Today I attended the first\u00a0IT3010 Students Symposium, the closing event of IT3010,\u00a0Research-based\u00a0Innovation Methodologies in Computer and Information Science<\/a>. The course IT3010 is coordinated by \u00a0Babak Farshchian<\/a> and Elena Parmiggiani<\/a>\u00a0(in the photo)\u00a0who have really gone an extra mile to create an engaging experience leading to excellent learning outcomes. The main objective of the course is to give students knowledge of research methods and develop skills that will be required for their master.\"\"<\/p>\n

In the course students select a problem and research on it rigorously adopting an appropriate research method. The research is then presented in a paper.\u00a0Students have also taken the responsibility to peer review the articles to be presented at the symposium.\u00a0It was an inspiring day, with many interesting presentations including investigations of privacy issues, serious games, self-driving vehicles, sharing platforms,\u2026topics that students found interesting and worth investigating. \u00a0For sure the skills acquired in this course will be useful to students not only for their master, but also in their future working place.<\/p>\n
