Guest lecture on virtual and augmented reality

Another interesting guest lecture for TDT4245. Today Ekaterina Prasolova-Førland and Mikhail Fominykh presented us the latest news in the area of virtual and augmented reality for collaboration and learning.

Ekaterina presented some of the projects she is involved in, from ski jumping to nurse training. Interesting to learn how collaborative 3D virtual  environments can be used to promote cooperation among students across campuses. An important topic for us at NTNU.

Mikhail presented us how augmented reality can be used in training and gave us a glimpse of the work done in the EU project WEKIT (Wearable Experience for Knowledge Intensive Training)

We strongly suggest to contact them if you are interested in cooperation or a master project in this area.
